Ministry of Culture and Tourism Organization Host '2025 New Industry Tourism Development Forum'

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization will newly promote the 'New Industry Tourism Development' project this year. They plan to discover customized new industry tourism products linked to Korea’s representative industries such as semiconductors, automobiles, information technology (IT), steel, K-Food, and K-Beauty.

The newly promoted new industry tourism this year will expand its target to include foreign tourists. Not only will visitors tour innovative manufacturing processes in industries like semiconductors and automobiles, but they will also be able to directly experience and create products such as foods like ramen and soju they have tried in their home countries, as well as cosmetics they use, providing a unique tourism experience. The discussions at the forum will be reflected in this year’s business plan.

Kim Geun-ho, Director of Tourism Industry Policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated, "We hope this forum will be the first step in nurturing new industry tourism as a new tourism content in Korea." He added, "Amid the global spread of Korean culture and industry, we will strive to further enhance the global competitiveness of K-Culture and K-Tourism through the synergy of K-Tourism and K-Industry."
