Muju-gun to Hold 'Cherry Blossom Festival' at Soinaru Park on the 5th and 6th

The 3rd Cherry Blossom Festival will be held on April 5th and 6th at Soinaru Park and surrounding areas in Seomyeon Village, Muju-eup, Muju-gun, Jeollabuk-do.

According to the county on the 3rd, this festival, organized by the Seomyeon Saemaeul Association (President: Shin Kisang), will begin with a traditional wedding ceremony and funeral procession, followed by Nanta and singer performances. There will also be a treasure hunt and an exciting art bus performance to liven up the atmosphere.

Soinaru Park covers an area of 28,068 square meters and is equipped with facilities such as a badminton court, traditional play area, walking trails, pavilion, and traditional swings. In spring, the cherry blossom road (from Chasan Village to Seomyeon Village, about 5 km) creates a spectacular view.

From April 10th to 13th, the 6th Seolcheon Dwitjakgeum Cherry Blossom Festival will be held at the plaza next to the bridge above the hunting weir in Sangpyeongji, Seolcheon-myeon. The Seolcheon-myeon Women's Association (President: Yang Bongja) and the Food Service Association (President: Seo Sukja) plan to prepare a variety of foods, including pajeon and banquet noodles, offering visitors the unique pleasure of tasting local cuisine while walking along the cherry blossom road.

Nearby, there are attractions such as Bandiland, Taekwondowon, the 33 Scenic Spots of Gucheondong, and Muju Deogyusan Resort, making it possible to enjoy connected tourism. Among the 33 Scenic Spots of Muju Gucheondong, the 2.2 km section from Rajetongmun (the first spot) to Eunguam (the second spot) is also well known as the Gucheondong Cherry Blossom Road, where the flower path harmonizes with the surrounding scenery to create a breathtaking sight.
