Hanam Bombom Culture Festival Held on the 6th... A Cultural Feast Amid Cherry Blossoms

Gyeonggi Hanam City (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 2nd that the ‘Hanam Bombom Cultural Festival’ will be held on the 6th at Dangjeongtteul, where the fully bloomed cherry blossoms and the waterside scenery harmonize. This festival is a warm cultural event where nature, art, and human warmth meet, promising to offer unforgettable memories to the citizens.

The festival is co-hosted and organized by the Shinjang 2-dong Residents’ Autonomous Association and the Hanam Branch of the Korea Federation of Entertainment Artists, with support from Hanam City. Originally scheduled to be held in conjunction with the Misa Hangang Sand Road walking event on the 5th, the walking event was canceled due to a rain forecast, and the cultural performances were rescheduled to the 6th.

The disappointment brought by the spring rain forecast was brief, and the one-day wait only adds to the excitement. The festival held at Dangjeongtteul, where cherry blossoms are in full bloom, offers a pause in daily life and is expected to be a precious day to fully experience the spring atmosphere in the heart of the city.

The performances will officially begin at 2 p.m., preceded by a pre-event stage by popular singer Na Hwi, which will warmly set the festival’s mood.

In the first part of the performance, various local artists including participants from the residents’ autonomous programs, Kids Aerobics, Goun Sori Harmonica, and Tong Sisters’ acoustic guitar will present heartfelt stages that resonate with people of all ages. Popular singers An Ga-hee and Jeon Mi-kyung will also take the stage to share a warm time of communication with the audience.

The second part of the stage is the highlight of the festival. Beloved artists such as Lee Gyu-seok, Han Seung-gi, Heo Si-an, Choi Jong-ran, and Woo Soon-sil will successively take the stage to express the emotions of spring through music.

The stage where scenery, music, and people’s hearts blend fills the festival venue with shared empathy. Various experience booths will also be operated. From 1 p.m., the experience zone offers programs such as bead crafts, rice cake making, and traditional games that can be enjoyed by both children and adults.

In particular, the program to make a model of the Hwangpo sailboat with a cultural tourism guide is expected to be a meaningful time to learn about Hanam’s history and culture in an engaging way.

At Dangjeongtteul Waterside Park, a photo zone will be set up against the backdrop of cherry blossoms where visitors can leave memories. Taking photos with beloved family, friends, and lovers and participating in the SNS certification event will also allow visitors to receive small souvenirs.

On the day before the festival, April 4th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., a pre-busking performance will be held on a special stage under Deokpung Bridge. Various artists including Jeon Ki-jun, Han Sang-hyun, Han Sol-ah, Park Charlie, and the Yoo Ok-kyung Band will take the stage to announce the beginning of spring, raising anticipation for the festival.

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae said, “The Hanam Bombom Cultural Festival is a citizen-participation festival where performances, experiences, nature, and culture harmoniously blend, and it represents a facet of the warm urban culture that Hanam City aims for. Through this festival, which includes programs spanning generations, enjoyable sensory experiences, and emotional exchanges with neighbors, I hope many citizens will create ‘moments of spring’ that remain in their hearts for a long time.”
