Catholic Hakwon Donates 10 Billion Won to Catholic University

Catholic University announced on the 4th that it received a university development fund of 10 billion KRW from the Catholic Academy Foundation.

Catholic Hakwon Donates 10 Billion Won to Catholic University The Catholic Academy Foundation donated 10 billion KRW in development funds to Catholic University on Monday, the 31st.

The fund transfer ceremony was held on the 31st of last month at the CUK Vision Innovation Seminar Room in the Michael Hall of Catholic University. Attendees included Bishop Lee Kyung-sang, Executive Director of the Catholic Academy Foundation, Catholic University President Choi Jun-gyu, as well as Father Lee Jae-yeol, Director of the Office, Father Cheon Man-seong, Director of Business Management, and Father Ji Sang-sul, Director of Health Policy.


Catholic University has established three core strategies to leap forward as a "well-teaching research-oriented university": △ creating an innovative research ecosystem △ laying the foundation for a global research hub △ building an internationalized campus. The fund will be used to realize these core strategies by expanding research funding and equipment, securing research spaces, and improving the research environment.


Bishop Lee said, "The fund was delivered to encourage the new president's future endeavors and support the realization of the vision," adding, "I hope Catholic University, which boasts a long history, will be reborn as a research-oriented university through courageous changes."


In response, President Choi said, "I deeply thank the Catholic Academy Foundation for donating this valuable fund," and added, "Based on this, we will expand global research and further enhance the reputation of Catholic University."
