Hongseong County Medical Agreement Council Donates Funds for Wildfire Victims in Gyeongbuk Region Jo Sungwook, chairman of the Hongseong County Medical Association, and others are donating relief funds for wildfire damage in the Gyeongbuk region.

The Hongseong County Medical-Pharmaceutical Council in Chungnam held its 2025 regular meeting on the morning of the 1st at the Hongseong County Public Health Center conference room, with President Cho Sungwook, members of the Medical Association, Dental Association, Korean Medicine Association, Pharmaceutical Association, and officials from the health center in attendance to discuss local healthcare issues.


Before the regular meeting, President Cho Sungwook donated wildfire relief funds to Hongseong County to help residents affected by the large-scale wildfires in the Gyeongbuk region.


During the regular meeting, participants discussed support measures for medically vulnerable groups in the region, plans to promote cooperative projects among medical and pharmaceutical organizations, expansion of health promotion programs for county residents, strengthening vaccination measures for infectious disease prevention, and the operation of life-respecting pharmacies.


In particular, they resolved to actively engage in voluntary self-regulation activities to prevent illegal medical practices and eradicate the sale of substandard pharmaceuticals, continuing efforts to ensure that residents can safely use medical services.


Meanwhile, the Hongseong County Medical-Pharmaceutical Council is an autonomous organization composed of local medical associations, including the Medical Association, Dental Association, Korean Medicine Association, and Pharmaceutical Association, and is taking the lead in serving as the central body for regional healthcare cooperation through regular meetings.
