This briefing session, jointly hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Fair Trade Commission, the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and the National Police Agency, will be held at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju. The session aims to provide small businesses with a comprehensive overview of various technology protection support systems scattered across multiple government agencies, such as the Fair Trade Commission's prohibition of misuse under the Subcontracting Act and the Korean Intellectual Property Office's patent dispute response strategy support project. Additionally, on-site consultations with technology protection experts for individual companies will be conducted.

In particular, co-hosted with the Gwangju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, which implements various policy supports for startup companies, the session plans to guide more startups on technology protection systems and provide related education.

Participating companies will be able to attend lectures by experts on countermeasures against technology leakage in small businesses and key technology protection rules, as well as explanations from officials of each agency regarding technology protection support systems. Furthermore, through free on-site consultations, companies can receive security guidance tailored to their individual situations.

This briefing session will be held four times a year, starting in Gwangju on April 1, followed by Gyeongsang (June, Busan), Chungcheong (July, Daejeon), and the Seoul metropolitan area (September, Seoul). Detailed information can be found at the Foundation for Large, Small, and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Cooperation and the Technology Protection Fence.
