Charges of Obstruction of Business and Assault
The police have launched a forced investigation into a YouTuber who posted a death threat targeting Moon Hyung-bae, Acting Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, sparking controversy.
On the 29th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that on the 28th, they executed a search warrant on Mr. A, a YouTuber in his 40s, on charges of threats, obstruction of business, and assault.
The police reportedly summoned Mr. A to the police station for questioning and seized his mobile phone under the search warrant.
Mr. A is under police investigation for posting a death threat on his YouTube channel on the 13th, targeting Acting Chief Justice Moon and an unspecified number of others.
Additionally, he was arrested and is being investigated for causing a disturbance and using abusive language at a restaurant in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 21st.
