Gyeongsan City Delivers Donation to Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Social Welfare

Gyeongsan City in North Gyeongsang Province delivered a donation of 20,250,000 KRW, voluntarily raised by all city hall employees, to the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea on the 28th to support wildfire recovery efforts and aid for victims in the region.

This donation, collected in unity by 1,638 city hall employees, will be used to support five cities and counties in North Gyeongsang Province, including Uiseong County, which suffered severe wildfire damage.


Mayor Cho Hyunil said, "I would like to express my deepest condolences to the victims who lost their homes due to the sudden wildfires," and added, "We hope that this donation, gathered with the collective hearts of all our employees, will provide at least some help to the affected residents and that their daily lives will be restored as soon as possible."


Gyeongsan City also contributed to recovery efforts on the 26th by providing relief supplies worth 4 million KRW, including 2,000 dust masks and 2,000 pairs of wildfire-fighting gloves, to Uiseong County.
