Establishing a Culture of Integrity in Construction, Supervision, and Contract Sectors

The Gwangju City General Construction Headquarters announced on the 29th that it held the '2025 Integrity Education and Resolution Rally' at the Daedong Hall of the May 18 Memorial Culture Center on the 28th, with headquarters staff in attendance.
This event was organized to establish a culture of integrity in construction management, supervision, and contract sectors, aiming to ensure the quality of public construction and create a safe construction site environment. Im Daejin, head of the Integrity Planning Team at the Audit Committee, provided education on the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the Code of Conduct for Public Officials, and the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act to raise awareness of integrity.
During the subsequent resolution rally, all staff members of the General Construction Headquarters recited the Integrity Pledge and chanted slogans to promote a culture of integrity in the workplace, reaffirming their commitment to practicing integrity and improving the quality of public construction.
Previously, on the 21st and 26th, the General Construction Headquarters held public construction site meetings to establish a culture of integrity, attended by over 110 public officials in civil engineering and architecture and construction site personnel.
Shin Jaeuk, head of the General Construction Headquarters, stated, "Integrity must be a prerequisite to ensuring the quality of public construction," and added, "The entire organization recognizes the importance of integrity, and we will continue to operate the anti-corruption and integrity promotion team and strengthen departmental capabilities to continuously strive for citizen safety and improved quality in construction projects."
