Trot Singer Miss Kim Appointed as Gwangju Fire Department PR Ambassador

Trot singer Miss Kim, who hails from Haenam, has been appointed as the fire safety ambassador for Gwangju City.

The Gwangju City Fire Safety Headquarters announced on the 29th that it had appointed Miss Kim (real name Kim Chaerin), a trot singer who gained attention on Miss Trot 3, as the fire safety ambassador for Gwangju City at a ceremony held in the headquarters' conference room on the 28th.

Miss Kim attracted attention by winning the Excellence Award at the 2023 National Singing Contest. Last year, she placed fourth on TV Chosun's Miss Trot 3, earning recognition for her talent, and is currently actively performing as a trot singer, including appearances on TV Chosun's Miss Three Rang.

Going forward, Miss Kim will participate in various promotional activities for Gwangju Fire Department, taking the lead in raising awareness of fire safety policies and safety guidelines. In accordance with the "Regulations on the Operation of Honorary Firefighters and Fire Safety Ambassadors," she has been appointed at the rank of Fire Sergeant and will serve as a fire safety ambassador for the next two years, participating in various safety campaigns and promotional content production.

Miss Kim stated, "It is an honor to take on the meaningful role of Gwangju City Fire Safety Ambassador," and added, "Just as I bring inspiration and joy to many people as a singer, I will also work to raise awareness of fire prevention and contribute to building a safer society as a fire safety ambassador."

Kim Moonyong, head of the Gwangju Fire Safety Headquarters, said, "It is meaningful to have trot singer Miss Kim join us as the Gwangju Fire Safety Ambassador," and added, "We hope that through her active involvement, citizens will be able to become more familiar and comfortable with fire safety."
