Gijang-gun, Busan announced on the 28th that the home opener of the Gijang County Football Club for the 2025 K4 League will be held at Jeonggwan Sports Healing Park at 2 p.m. on the 30th.

This match marks the first-ever K4 League home game to be held in Gijang-gun since the founding of the Gijang County Football Club and will be played against Yeoncheon FC. With enthusiastic support from local residents, this is expected to be an important first step toward the club's brilliant ascent.

Additionally, a variety of events are planned, including a kickoff ceremony, a halftime celebration performance, and a prize drawing, offering unique enjoyment to football fans and residents alike.

The ceremonial kickoff will be performed by the club owner, Gijang County Mayor Jeong Jongbok; Chairman of the Gijang County Council Park Hongbok; Busan Metropolitan Council members Park Jongcheol and Lee Seungwoo; football club advisor Song Myeongryong; and U-12 youth representative Cho Hyeonseong, who will celebrate this historic first K4 League home match and bring good luck to the team.

Mayor Jeong Jongbok said, "I hope this home opener will be an opportunity to present a stage of inspiration and unity to Gijang residents and football fans, regardless of the outcome," adding, "Together with our 175,000 residents, I wish for the great success of the Gijang County Football Club."

The Gijang County Football Club is a key sports initiative promoted by Gijang-gun to revitalize community athletics and foster local pride. It originated from a policy proposal by the 8th Civilian Transition Committee of Gijang-gun in 2022, and after going through preparations such as ordinance enactment and securing a budget, the club was officially founded this year.

The Gijang County Football Club, representing Gijang-gun, is led by club owner Mayor Jeong Jongbok and consists of three coaches and 29 players. The team began its official K4 League journey this year, starting with a match against Jinju Citizen Football Club on February 22.
