181 Welfare Projects at a Glance... Gwangjin-gu Produces 'Nae Sonan Gwangjin Bokji' Guidebook

Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has produced a welfare consultation manual called ‘2025 Nae Sonan Gwangjin Bokji’ for welfare service practitioners.

‘Nae Sonan Gwangjin Bokji’ is a book created to respond to the increasingly diverse and complex welfare demands and to provide an overview of service contents at a glance. It has been produced annually since 2016 as a guideline for welfare practitioners to refer to and utilize during case management and consultations.

The guidebook comprehensively includes health and welfare projects promoted by 16 departments. It is composed of this year’s revised social security benefit selection criteria such as income standards, welfare project information for National Basic Livelihood Security recipients, major support projects for the near-poor class, and the status of projects by department.

Starting with the national veterans’ honor allowance support project, it richly contains 181 projects in the fields of childbirth, childcare, health, jobs, and housing, including emergency welfare, support for 200 households, support for persons with disabilities, senior job support, childcare, operation of community child centers, health visits for vulnerable groups, maternal health care support, and youth monthly rent support, all within 275 pages.

The district plans to distribute this booklet to local welfare facilities and community service centers by the 31st, and it will also be posted on the Gwangjin-gu Office website so that anyone can easily access it.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We produced this guidebook to provide prompt and accurate welfare services. We will share it not only with practitioners but also with residents to ensure that no one misses out on benefits,” and added, “We will continue to discover health and welfare projects that residents can feel and do our best to create a happy Gwangjin-gu with high-quality welfare services for all residents.”
