[Special Stock] Hyundai Mobis Falls 4.83% Amid 'Tariff Anxiety' Impact

The stock price of Hyundai Mobis continues to weaken as the Trump administration in the United States announces tariffs on imported cars.


As of 11:27 AM, Hyundai Mobis was trading at 266,000 KRW, down 13,500 KRW (4.83%) from the previous trading day. It has the highest decline rate among the top market capitalization stocks.

Hyundai Mobis is an automotive parts specialist company under Hyundai Motor Group. At the same time, Hyundai Motor is also recording a 4% decline.


Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on the 26th (local time) stating, "What we will do is impose a 25% tariff on all cars not produced in the United States." He had announced a 25% tariff on imported cars last month, and concerns have now become reality.


Automobiles are South Korea's top export item to the U.S., with last year's automobile exports to the U.S. amounting to 34.744 billion USD. This accounts for 49.1% of the total automobile export value (70.789 billion USD).
