Mapo-gu Takes Action to Support At-Risk Youth

Implementation of the 'Special Support Project for At-Risk Youth' to Help Growth and Independence
Applications Accepted at Local Community Service Centers from April 1 to April 25; Family Members and Representatives May Apply

Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) is recruiting candidates for the '2025 Special Support Project for At-Risk Youth' from April 1 to April 25 to help adolescents grow healthily and become independent.

The 'Special Support Project for At-Risk Youth' is a program designed to reduce the living burdens of youth who lack guardians or do not receive proper care and are experiencing social and economic difficulties, enabling them to continue their studies.

The eligible applicants are youth aged between 9 and 24, and the income criterion is at or below 100% of the median income.

Youth who need support to prevent delinquency or deviation, out-of-school youth, reclusive youth who are disconnected from the outside world and find normal life significantly difficult, and youth who require help for social adaptation and independence can apply for the support project.

Selected candidates will receive financial support for one of the most needed areas among living, health, academics, counseling, legal assistance, or activities. The amount of support will be determined based on the field and the content of support.

Youth in need can apply by visiting their local community service center. If the youth cannot visit in person, family members or youth leaders, social workers, teachers, or public officials who know the youth in need can apply on their behalf.

Mapo-gu will verify applicants' income and assets and select the final candidates through the review of the Youth Welfare Deliberation Committee.
