Seven Institutions Gather on the 27th
for "Joint Symposium of Science and Technology Related Institutions"

On March 27 at 11 a.m., Pukyong National University held the "2025 Pukyong National University-Science and Technology Related Institutions Joint Symposium" at the Pukyong Convention Hall.

On this day, seven institutions?including Pukyong National University, the Science and Technology Commercialization Promotion Agency, the Innopolis Foundation, the Korea Institute of Materials Science, the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, Busan Technopark, and the Busan Institute of Science and Technology Promotion?gathered in one place.

Pukyong National University organized this event with the goal of highlighting its strong science and technology network among local communities, industries, academia, and research, aiming to clearly showcase its status and vision as a leading university in advanced fields ahead of the final selection for the Glocal University 30 project this year.

The symposium began with a keynote lecture by Choi Chuljin, President of the Korea Institute of Materials Science, titled "Development of the National Materials Industry and Strategies for Solving National and Social Issues," followed by invited lectures from experts of each institution on the theme "The Future of Sustainable Science and Technology Talent and Industry in the ESG Era."

In the afternoon, Kim Jingyu, Director of the Science and Technology Industrialization Promotion Agency, gave a lecture on "Science and Technology Commercialization and Talent Development"; Yoon Jieon, Director of the Busan Institute of Science and Technology Promotion, spoke on "Busan Science and Technology Support Policy"; Ahn Seonggwan, Team Leader at Busan Technopark, presented on "Busan City's Strategic Industries and Promotion Policies"; and Ko Minseong, Professor at Pukyong National University, lectured on "Energy Innovation and New Materials."

This was followed by lectures from Lee Sangbok, Director at the Korea Institute of Materials Science, on "Development of Millimeter-Wave Electromagnetic Wave Absorbing Composite Materials"; Ha Kyungnam, Group Leader at the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, on "Intelligent Virtual Reality Robot Industry"; Kim Minseong, Team Leader at the Innopolis Foundation, on "The Role of Public Technology Commercialization and Industry-Academia Cooperation"; and Ahn Yechang, Professor at Pukyong National University, on "Advanced Biomedical Engineering Industrial Technology and Talent Development."

President Bae Sanghoon stated, "We will expand opportunities for joint research and technology development with related science and technology institutions, creating new avenues for cooperation. I am confident that our efforts will become a new milestone in solving practical industrial problems and advancing science and technology."
