Public Official Ethics Committee Discloses Asset Declarations
Lee Chang-yoon, the 1st Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and ICT, reported assets worth 2,035.6 million KRW this year.
According to the regular asset change report disclosed in the government official gazette by the Government Official Ethics Committee on the 27th, the assets reported under Lee, his spouse, and children amounted to 2,035.6 million KRW, an increase of 121.19 million KRW compared to the previous report.
The largest portion of Vice Minister Lee's assets is the Raemian Daechi Palace apartment in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The 84.97㎡ building, owned equally by him and his spouse, was valued at 2,052.24 million KRW. This amount increased by 97.01 million KRW compared to the previous year.
Additionally, he owned a 2006 model Sportage car (1.86 million KRW) under his name, and reported total deposits of 170.65 million KRW, including 123.63 million KRW in his name, 19.57 million KRW in his spouse's name, 14.37 million KRW in his eldest son's name, and 13.08 million KRW in his second daughter's name. Deposits increased by 26.75 million KRW compared to the previous year.
Regarding securities assets, his spouse held listed stocks worth 13.09 million KRW including Samsung Electronics, and his eldest son held listed stocks worth 4.58 million KRW including Kakao, as well as unlisted stocks worth 1.9 million KRW in Dunamu Inc. On the other hand, debts totaling 210 million KRW were also reported, including a 100 million KRW private loan under his name and a 110 million KRW financial loan from NongHyup Bank under his spouse's name.
His eldest son also held virtual assets such as ADA, Chainlink, and Polkadot worth 1.29 million KRW, an increase of 0.37 million KRW compared to the previous year.
Overall, the total asset size increased by 121.19 million KRW due to the rise in real estate appraisal values and an increase in deposits.
