Wando Office of Education Holds School Violence Prevention and Traffic Safety Campaign

Wando Office of Education in Jeollanam-do announced on the 26th that it held the "2025 New Semester School Violence Prevention and Traffic Safety Campaign" from the 4th to the 25th at Wando Elementary School, Wando Jungang Elementary School, Wando Girls’ Middle School, and Wando Fisheries High School.

This campaign was made more meaningful with the participation of related local organizations, including Wando Police Station, Wando County Office, Wando Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, Wando Out-of-School Youth Support Center, and Wando Public-Private-School Education Cooperation Committee.

Students who participated in the campaign raised awareness about school violence prevention by chanting the slogan "Stop School Violence," and contributed to enhancing students’ awareness of traffic safety by providing guidance on their way to school. In particular, a "Clean Wando Education Campaign for the Promotion of Integrity without Unfair Solicitation or Abuse of Power" was conducted, providing an opportunity for students, parents, and local residents to join in spreading a culture of integrity.

Superintendent Lee Cheolyoung stated, "We will do our best to create a safe and peaceful educational environment by continuously cooperating and communicating with related local organizations so that students can enjoy a healthy and happy school life." He added, "On the 14th and 24th, we also held capacity-building training for principals, vice principals, and teachers in charge of school violence prevention." He further said, "Wando Office of Education will continue to make ongoing efforts to create an environment of integrity in education."
