LG Electronics announced on the 26th that it will start selling the 2025 OLED TV at major domestic stores such as Gangseo Main Store and Daechi Main Store from the 27th. Online sales began earlier on the 18th, and this time sales are expanding offline.
The product can also be accessed through a subscription service. With a 6-year subscription, the 77-inch OLED Evo (G5) can be purchased for 126,900 KRW per month, including benefits from partner cards. The 65-inch OLED TV (B5) is available for just 58,900 KRW per month. Free repair service is provided throughout the subscription period.
Following South Korea, LG Electronics plans to sequentially release the 2025 LG OLED TV in about 150 countries worldwide, including North America and Europe. After starting pre-sales in North America on the 11th, the new 2025 OLED models, including the LG OLED Evo (G5), will be launched from early next month.
This year, LG Electronics has organized its LG OLED TV lineup into premium models such as OLED Evo (M5, G5, C5) and standard OLED TV (B5). The sizes range from 42 inches to 97 inches, boasting the industry's largest lineup.
The 2025 LG OLED Evo features a new brightness enhancement technology that changes the display algorithm and organic compound stacking structure, achieving a maximum brightness three times that of the standard OLED TV (B5 model). Along with a brighter screen, it delivers 'Perfect Black' regardless of ambient light, expressing vivid images with maximized contrast. The new product is equipped with a dedicated button on the Magic Remote, significantly improving customer accessibility to AI functions with tactile AI. When the AI button is pressed to turn on the TV, the AI analyzes usage history and viewing environment to recommend search keywords and viewing programs. Holding down the AI button activates voice recognition. When customers ask questions or make requests, the generative AI agent understands the context and activates appropriate AI functions such as customized picture quality and problem-solving.
The LG OLED Evo (M5) is equipped with a true wireless AV transmission solution that delivers up to 4K·144Hz refresh rate video without loss or delay. Especially in wireless environments, technologies minimizing screen tearing such as G-Sync compatibility and FreeSync Premium are applied, allowing smooth enjoyment of high-quality content and gaming.
LG Electronics hopes to maintain its world No. 1 position in the OLED TV field, which it has held for 12 years, through the launch of the new product. According to market research firm Omdia, LG Electronics recorded 12 consecutive years of No. 1 in the global OLED TV market with a 52.4% market share based on last year's shipment volume.
Ahead of the launch, the new LG TV products have received favorable reviews from major overseas media. The UK's IT media 'T3' praised the new brightness enhancement technology of the LG OLED Evo (G5), saying, "The 2025 OLED technology has reached the stratosphere." The US IT media 'The Shortcut' called the LG OLED Evo (M5) "the wireless gaming TV of dreams," noting no noticeable difference from wired connections in resolution, clarity, refresh rate, and response time.
