Seven participants attended the meeting, including representatives from the 53rd Regional Defense Infantry Division, Naval Operations Command, 5th Air Mobility Wing, Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office, and Busan Economic Promotion Agency.
The Busan Veterans Support Center requested cooperation from military units regarding the implementation of on-site training sessions for service members scheduled for discharge and military officers. In addition, the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office promoted employment support programs for the shipbuilding industry, while the Busan Economic Promotion Agency introduced the Youth Dodream Center.
The Veterans Support Center and other employment support agencies conveyed their hope to military unit representatives that their employment support programs would be effectively promoted to young soldiers and officers who will begin active job searching after discharge, so that they may benefit greatly. The Veterans Support Center also plans to share the employment support programs of the two agencies with its veteran members to provide more career transition opportunities.
The Veterans Support Center, which operates in 10 locations nationwide, provides various employment and entrepreneurship support services to mid- and long-term veterans who have served for five years or more, including one-on-one career counseling, job information, educational training expenses, and career transition allowances.
