The General Affairs Committee of the Dangjin City Council in Chungnam announced on the 25th that it held a meeting with the Dangjin Federation of Artists at the council's main conference room on the 24th to listen to the suggestions of local artists.

About 20 people attended the meeting, including members of the General Affairs Committee, Baek Taehyun, head of the Dangjin Federation of Artists, branch heads of the Federation, and officials from Dangjin City Hall.

Executives of the Federation of Artists proposed various support measures for the development of culture and arts. The Fine Arts Association requested stable funding to revitalize the Culture Empathy Center, the Writers' Association called for the establishment of a website to promote local arts and improve citizen accessibility, the Architects Association requested financial support to operate an architectural film screening program, the Music Association called for support for instruments such as pianos, and the Gugak Association requested stable support for holding a Gugak competition.

Chairperson Park Myungwoo and other committee members responded, "We deeply sympathize with the need to support local culture and artists," and added, "The city council will also seek reasonable support measures for the development of local culture and arts."

Meanwhile, the city council and local artists plan to use this meeting as an opportunity to continue seeking cooperative and developmental measures to vitalize culture and arts in Dangjin.
