Explanation of the Five Key Focus Areas
The Chungnam Office of Education held the "2025 School Physical Education Major Tasks Briefing" on the afternoon of the 25th for physical education teachers and staff in charge at elementary, middle, and high schools within its jurisdiction.
At the briefing, which was conducted online through Majuon (the Chungnam Office of Education's Future Education Integrated Platform), the office set the basic direction for the 2025 school year’s major physical education tasks as "Fostering Moderate Global Citizens Embodying Future Values" and announced five key focus areas to achieve this goal.
The five key focus areas are: ▲ A value-centered physical education curriculum for holistic growth ▲ School sports clubs that practice the future values of consideration and cooperation ▲ Advanced, human rights-friendly school sports teams that nurture dreams and encourage challenges ▲ Upright physical educators with fundamental competencies ▲ Establishment of a safe, customized school physical education environment.
In particular, the Chungnam Office of Education plans to hold various physical education-related events this year, including the 3rd School Physical Education Week and Physical Education Day, the 2nd Physical Education Career Pathway Festival, the 2nd Chungnam Dance On Challenge, and the 2nd Chungnam Survival Swimming Education Festival.
Lee Eunsang, Director of Physical Education and Health at the Office of Education, said, "Since physical education holds a significant place in the curriculum, the roles of physical education teachers and staff in charge are very important," and added, "Let us all work together so that school physical education activities can thrive and create vibrant, exciting schools."
