Yoon's Release Order Case Assigned to Investigation Division 3 for Prosecutor General Sim Investigation
The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Division (Gong-su-cheo) assigned the case in which the opposition party accused Prosecutor General Sim Woo-jung of abuse of authority related to President Yoon Seok-yeol's release order to Investigation Division 3 (Chief Prosecutor Lee Dae-hwan).
On the 25th, Gong-su-cheo announced to the press corps, "The case against Prosecutor General Sim Woo-jung, who was accused in connection with President Yoon's release, has been assigned to Investigation Division 3 today."
Earlier, five opposition parties?the Democratic Party, the Jo-guk Innovation Party, the Progressive Party, the Basic Income Party, and the Social Democratic Party?filed a complaint with Gong-su-cheo accusing Prosecutor General Sim Woo-jung of abuse of authority for immediately abandoning the appeal against the decision to cancel President Yoon Seok-yeol's detention.
