On the morning of the 25th, CJ Logistics held the '115th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders' at its headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, where it approved the financial statements and resolved agenda items including the appointment of directors (2 inside directors and 1 outside director).
Inside director Min Young-hak, CEO of the Construction Division, was reappointed, and Yoon Jin, CEO of CJ Logistics Korea Business Division, was newly registered. Former director Lee Han-me resigned due to personal reasons. Yoon Jin joined CJ Group in 2002 and has held positions such as Head of Overseas Business, Head of W&D Division, and Head of Contract Logistics (CL) Division at CJ Logistics. Last year, as Head of the FT Division, he led the CL business, driving productivity innovation projects, and was recognized for improving profitability and achieving quantitative growth, leading to his appointment as CEO of the Korea Business Division.
Advisor Park Seon-ho was recruited as an outside director and audit committee member. He entered public service by passing the 32nd Administrative Examination and served as Director of Housing Policy, Director of Land Policy, Spokesperson, Director of Housing and Land Office, Director of Land and Urban Office, and First Vice Minister at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. From 2021 until last year, he also served as Chairman of the Overseas Construction Association (OCA). Advisor Park replaces Han Man-hee, the current chairman of the OCA. Similarly, Han, who also served as Vice Minister of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, was appointed as an outside director of CJ Logistics in March last year but left the board in September after being elected chairman of the OCA.
CJ Logistics’ appointment of a former Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport official as an outside director is interpreted as a move to strengthen political capabilities. CJ Logistics mainly handles logistics and courier services, including air and sea forwarding and parcel delivery, which fall under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Meanwhile, Shin Young-soo, CEO of CJ Logistics, said in his greeting on the day, "We will focus on three tasks to enhance corporate value and maximize shareholder profits." He emphasized that they will transform the parcel delivery industry through the seven-day-a-week delivery service 'Maeil O-ne (O-NE).' He added, "We will strengthen domestic and international third-party logistics (3PL) business based on cutting-edge logistics technology and continue the growth of the contract logistics (CL) division," and stated, "We will also accelerate global business growth through strategic investments in countries such as the United States and India."
