LG Electronics Approves Appointment of New Director at Shareholders' Meeting

"Approval of Director Appointments and Other Proposals as Originally Submitted"

LG Electronics appointed new directors at its regular shareholders' meeting.


On the 25th, LG Electronics announced that at the 23rd regular shareholders' meeting, resolutions were passed regarding the appointment of directors and members of the audit committee. Kwon Bong-seok, Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of LG Corporation, Cho Joo-wan, CEO of LG Electronics, and Ryu Chung-ryeol, Professor at KAIST Business School (Executive Director of the Korean Accounting Association), were reappointed as directors. Kang Sung-chun, Professor at Seoul National University Business School (Vice President of the Korean Academy of Human Resource Management), was appointed as a new director.


Professor Ryu was reappointed as a member of the audit committee, and Professor Kang was newly appointed.


LG Electronics stated, "At this shareholders' meeting, agenda items including approval of the financial statements, approval of amendments to the articles of incorporation, appointment of directors, appointment of audit committee members, and approval of the director remuneration limit were approved as originally proposed."
