Gwangju City Announces Call for Gender Equality Fund Support Projects 'Youth Cooking', conducted last year as a project of the Gender Equality Fund. Provided by Gwangju City

The city of Gwangju announced on the 25th that it will be accepting applications for the "2025 Gender Equality Fund Support Project" until April 11 to promote the spread of gender equality culture.


The project is open to two areas: ▲Enhancing awareness and spreading the culture of gender equality ▲Prevention and response to gender-based violence. Depending on the content and scale of the project, up to 10 million KRW per organization will be provided, with a total budget of 70 million KRW.


Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations or groups related to gender equality in the Gwangju area, as well as university research institutes. Organizations wishing to apply should refer to the announcement on the Gwangju city website and submit their applications in person to the Department of Women and Family or via email by April 11. For more details, please contact the Department of Women and Family.


The city will select project implementers through a review committee based on criteria such as ▲organizational capacity ▲appropriateness of project content ▲effectiveness ▲budget adequacy. The results will be posted on the city website and individually notified in April.


Choi Jina, head of the Department of Women and Family, said, "Through this open call, we plan to actively discover and support projects that promote gender equality culture in the local community and strengthen social responses to gender-based violence. We hope that experienced organizations will actively participate."
