Icheon-si Supports Product, Visual, and Packaging Design Development for Small and Medium Enterprises

Recruiting Participating Companies Until the 11th

Gyeonggi-do Icheon City announced on the 24th that it will accept applications for the '2025 Product Design Development Support Project' for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the area until the 11th of next month.

This project, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of local SMEs, provides up to 14 million KRW in support for product design development using design specialized companies or universities within Gyeonggi-do. For visual and packaging design, the support limit is 7 million KRW.

In particular, starting this year, a 'Design Commercialization Support' has been added to encourage early market entry for companies that have carried out excellent product design tasks in the past three years, providing up to 16 million KRW for mold production.

Eligible applicants are companies with headquarters or factories located in Icheon City and engaged in manufacturing as per their business registration certificate. Detailed information can be found in the announcement on the 'Gyeonggi Business Secretary' website.

Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon City, stated, "As global economic recession and domestic consumption contraction prolong uncertainty, the demand from companies for support projects to strengthen product competitiveness is increasing," adding, "We will expand city-level support for projects with high corporate satisfaction."
