During the council, new teachers read books together that could help improve their teaching expertise and shared their philosophies and methods of teaching. They were also briefed on the Gwangju Office of Education's policy to activate elementary school classes and were given opportunities to directly participate in various future policies. Additionally, there was a session where new teachers proposed their own ideas for support measures to foster teaching growth.
Participating teacher Son Jisung said, "It was a meaningful time to share concerns about teaching with fellow new teachers," and added, "I will continue to learn and grow together with my colleagues."
The Office of Education plans to operate training sessions, mentoring programs, and a "Teaching Growth Day" for new teachers based on the feedback gathered from this council. Superintendent Lee Jungseon stated, "Students' diverse abilities are nurtured through diverse classes," and emphasized, "We will continue to provide support so that new teachers can grow in the field."
