The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Han Sangwon) announced on the 24th that it held a briefing session for the 'Automotive Industry Win-Win Agreement Expansion Support Project' to create jobs in the local automotive parts companies.

The briefing session, held in the main conference room on the 7th floor of the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was attended by more than 60 representatives from local automotive parts manufacturing companies and middle-aged job seekers.

This session provided an overview of the main contents of the 'Automotive Industry Win-Win Agreement Expansion Support' project and introduced training programs that help middle-aged job seekers gain work experience. Participants shared various benefits of the support project, and the event served as an opportunity for job seekers and hiring companies to communicate and learn about the different roles available in automotive parts companies.

The 'Automotive Industry Win-Win Agreement Expansion Support' project is part of the 'Region and Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project' supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Gwangju City. It aims to resolve recruitment difficulties and revitalize employment by improving the dual structure of the automotive industry in the Gwangju region.

Support details include a settlement incentive of up to 2 million KRW for employees of automotive parts manufacturing companies in Gwangju to encourage long-term employment, and a leap incentive of up to 3.6 million KRW per company to reduce labor costs. In addition, to narrow the welfare gap, up to 9 million KRW will be provided for the renovation of shared facilities and 300,000 KRW for health checkup expenses.

Choi Jihee, Director of Hyogwang Co., Ltd., said, "It was very beneficial to learn about the practical support available to automotive parts manufacturing companies through this briefing session," adding, "We expect that the incentive support for employees and companies will greatly contribute to securing employment stability."

Kim Kyungho, Executive Director of the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated, "We expect that effective support projects will help bridge the gap between automotive parts manufacturing companies and workers, further strengthening the ecosystem of the local automotive industry," and added, "We will continue to actively cooperate with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Gwangju City to enhance the competitiveness of the automotive industry and create quality jobs."
