The Drone Experience School is recruited on an ongoing basis through the integrated reservation page on the Yangju City website, and classes begin whenever there are between 8 and 18 enrolled students.
The experience lasts a total of 4 hours, conducted over two days from 4 PM to 6 PM. Students can choose to apply for the Monday-Tuesday Drone Experience class or the Wednesday-Thursday Coding Experience class. In the future, courses for middle and high school students will be offered, along with expert classes in drone delivery talent development, drone surveying, filming, production, and maintenance.
In February, Yangju City opened the Yangju Drone Bot Talent Education Center and is promoting the creation of an ecosystem that integrates industry and academia by expanding the basic foundation for drones and related technologies in the region.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju City stated, “Our city is laying the groundwork to become the educational hub of northern Gyeonggi as it was selected as a pilot area for the Education Development Special Zone. We aim to create a hopeful stage for the bright future of children by integrating the drone bot industry, festivals, and education here in Yangju.”
