HDC Hyundai Development Company has been selected as the construction company for the Busan Gwang-an 4 District redevelopment project, valued at 419.6 billion KRW.
On the 24th, HDC Hyundai Development Company announced that it received 497 votes in favor out of 546 attending union members at the general meeting held on the 22nd at Shin Busan Church for the selection of the construction company through a private contract for the Busan Gwang-an 4 District redevelopment project.
The Gwang-an 4 District redevelopment project is planned to be located in 92-3 Gwang-an-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan, consisting of 6 buildings ranging from 4 basement floors to a maximum of 37 floors above ground, with exclusive areas ranging from 34 to 122 square meters, totaling 966 households. The district area is approximately 49,754 square meters, the total floor area is about 195,619 square meters, and the construction cost is 419.6 billion KRW.
The Gwang-an 4 District is close to Centum City, where Shinsegae Department Store and Lotte Department Store are located, as well as the representative tourist destination of Busan, Gwangalli Beach. It is also in the station area of Suyeong Station, served by Busan Metro Lines 2 and 3. With proximity to Suyeong Intersection and Suyeong-ro, transportation conditions are excellent. It is also near the Suyeong River promenade and Baeksan Neighborhood Park, offering a pleasant residential environment. Additionally, the area is rich in educational and living infrastructure, including commercial districts near Suyeong Station, Costco Busan, BHS Hanseo Hospital, and Minan Elementary School.
HDC Hyundai Development Company took the location embracing mountains, river, and sea in Suyeong-gu as the motif for its specialized design. The landscaping incorporates water flows toward Gwangalli Beach, and the main buildings are designed to resemble the ridgeline of Geumryeonsan Mountain, proposing a complex with scenic views, openness, and natural lighting.
Following the Wonju Dangjeon Janggu reconstruction project worth 436.9 billion KRW, HDC Hyundai Development Company has secured the Gwang-an 4 District redevelopment project. The total order amount in the urban maintenance sector this year is 856.5 billion KRW.
An official from HDC Hyundai Development Company stated, "Based on accumulated construction know-how and technology, we will repay the trust and support given by the union members," adding, "Using technologies such as AI (artificial intelligence), we will present a premium complex in Busan Gwang-an 4 District, following the Haeundae I-Park."
