Spring suicide rates tend to increase due to seasonal factors and social factors such as job-seeking stress, requiring suicide prevention promotion and intensive management to prepare for this.

Accordingly, the city plans to focus on suicide prevention by ▲posting banners for the ‘Mental Health Counseling Hotline 109’ ▲distributing leaflets and posters with ‘Information on Suicide-Related Help Organizations’ at government offices, apartment complexes, and hospitals ▲operating logo lights in parks ▲placing suicide prevention counseling advertisements in apartment management fee notices ▲sending check-in text messages to high-risk suicide groups.

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City said, “Through this intensive management, we will strive to promote suicide prevention and raise awareness of the value of life among Guri citizens.”

If you are experiencing difficulties related to depression or suicidal impulses, you can contact the Suicide Prevention Counseling Hotline (operating 24 hours) ☎109 or the Guri City Suicide Prevention Center (operating during the day) for related counseling.
