Choi Hogwon, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor, Goes All Out to Revive Livelihood Economy... Yeongdeungpo District Allocates 7.6 Billion Won in Supplementary Budget

Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it has prepared a supplementary budget of 7.6 billion KRW to revitalize the local economy and create a safe living environment.


This supplementary budget focuses on essential projects, and after approval by the district council, the projects will be executed swiftly to bring tangible changes that residents can feel.


2.6 billion KRW allocated for revitalizing the local economy


Economic recovery is a key focus of this supplementary budget, with 2.6 billion KRW invested. The district plans to mobilize all administrative resources to fully support economic vitality and recovery. Specifically, 2 billion KRW will be allocated to expand loan support for the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Fund, 200 million KRW for additional issuance of the public delivery app (Ttaenggyeoyo), and 100 million KRW to expand the operation of cooperative marketplaces.


3 billion KRW allocated for creating a safe and pleasant living environment


To enhance residents’ safety and create a pleasant environment, 3 billion KRW has been allocated. This includes 1 billion KRW for installing multi-purpose closed-circuit TVs (CCTV), 600 million KRW for maintenance of aging lighting facilities, bicycle racks, and street obstructions, and 400 million KRW to strengthen cleanliness in Daerim-dong.


700 million KRW allocated for proactive administration to resolve residents’ inconveniences


To alleviate residents’ inconveniences through proactive administration and improve quality of life, 700 million KRW will be used to support community leader activities, youth growth projects, and expand publication of the Yeongdeungpo newsletter to enhance communication.


The supplementary budget submitted to the district council is scheduled to be finalized on the 27th after review. If passed as proposed, this year’s budget will increase by 0.82% compared to the original budget, reaching 934.8 billion KRW.


Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, stated, “This supplementary budget focuses on supporting small business owners and SMEs facing difficulties and strengthening safety in daily life. We will promptly implement the projects once the district council’s approval is complete to make Yeongdeungpo-gu an even better place to live.”
