Gumi Police Station in North Gyeongsang Province announced on the 21st that it conducted a school violence prevention education session for all 380 students at Hyeongnam Middle School on the 20th.

This program focused on raising awareness of the types and seriousness of school violence, as well as exploring practical ways for students to prevent violence.


In particular, the session emphasized raising awareness about the increasing threats of cyberbullying and deepfake crimes.


A police representative introduced real-life cases to the students and explained response strategies to help prevent victimization.


One student who participated in the program said, "I realized that school violence happens much closer than I thought. From now on, I will pay more attention to my friends and take part in prevention efforts."


Kim Dongwook, Chief of Gumi Police Station, stated, "School violence is a major obstacle to the healthy development of students," adding, "We will continue to work on various prevention activities to create a safer school environment."
