A Chinese national who killed a fellow Korean American in Los Angeles (LA), USA, has fled to China.
Multiple Chinese local media outlets, including China’s Zhonghua Net, reported on the 21st that "Chinese national Lu Zehao (41) is suspected of shooting and killing a 61-year-old Chinese man on the 11th (local time) and then fleeing."
According to the reports, the Los Angeles County Police Department in California, USA, reported the shooting incident the day before.
The police stated, "On the 11th around 6 p.m., we received a report of a shooting at a residence," adding, "Upon arrival at the scene, we found a man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen." The victim was taken to the hospital but ultimately died.
Investigations revealed that the suspect Lu aimed a gun and forcibly dragged the victim’s wife and son into the house. Afterwards, Lu had an argument with the victim inside the room. Lu then shot the victim and fled. The victim’s son sustained abrasions on his head and neck but received treatment at the hospital, while the victim’s wife was reported to have no injuries.
It is known that the suspect and the victim’s family were acquaintances, but the exact relationship has not been determined. No items were reported stolen.
