Targeting Small-Scale Non-Conforming Land Under 10 Parcels
Reducing Disputes and Lawsuits, Preventing Land Ownership Conflicts
Addressing Blind Spots in Cadastral Resurvey
Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju has launched an initiative to resolve small-scale land boundary disputes within the district. The district announced that it will reduce resident conflicts and mediate land ownership disputes through the "Individual Non-conforming Land Adjustment Project."
According to Gwangsan-gu on the 20th, "individual non-conforming land" refers to parcels of land, fewer than 10 in number, where the actual land boundaries do not match those recorded in official cadastral documents (such as land registers). Gwangsan-gu accepts applications from owners of fewer than 10 parcels, then conducts on-site inspections and reviews past survey data and aerial photographs to determine boundary discrepancies and correct the boundaries of disputed lands.
This project is separate from the national cadastral resurvey project and focuses on areas and small parcels not included in the national initiative. Applications can be submitted in person at the Real Estate Cadastral Department on the first floor of Gwangsan-gu Office. For more information, contact the Cadastral Resurvey Team at the Real Estate Cadastral Department.
