Successor to G430 Series Gains Explosive Popularity
Key Features: Free Hosel and Carbon Fly-Lap Crown Design
Upgraded Forgiveness, Distance, Impact Sound, and Feel
The new G440 driver series released by Ping Golf is gaining popularity. It is a new product following the G430 series, created by mobilizing all of Ping's know-how and technology. The preparation period took more than two years.
The key features are the free hosel and carbon fly-lap crown design. The middle part of the hosel connection was reduced to lighten the weight. By redistributing the weight, the center of gravity was lowered, achieving the deepest center of gravity in Ping driver history. The free hosel technology extends the sweet area further toward the heel. It leads to high forgiveness and fast ball speed. It produces optimal spin and higher trajectory, providing long distance and stable directionality.
A thinner and stronger titanium face was used. It delivers faster ball speed and consistent performance across the entire clubface. Compared to the previous model, the face thickness is about 4% thinner at the center and about 7% thinner at the perimeter. Overall, the face weight was reduced by about 7%.
Sound acoustic inner lip design was added. A more rounded carbon crown shape was applied compared to previous products. Although the face height was lowered, the crown part was raised upward. Redesigned with sound acoustic inner lip design, golfers can experience a soft yet solid hitting feel along with the preferred impact sound. The head became more compact, leading to better control and faster swing speed. Equipped with a trajectory tuning hosel, golfers can adjust eight different loft and lie angles themselves.
The G440 driver offers three models?MAX, LST, and SFT?that can deliver distance in an accurate direction with any swing. You can choose the driver you want. The G440 MAX driver offers excellent forgiveness. The G440 LST driver achieves a low-spin fade ball flight. The G440 SFT driver prevents slices.
It is possible to select a product that matches the golfer’s swing and ball flight style. The MAX and LST models are equipped with back weights that allow self-adjustment of ball flight in three positions: fade, straight, and draw. The SFT model has two positions: draw and draw+. There is also the G440 HL line for golfers with slower swing speeds. Along with the driver, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons were also released.
