Korea Expressway Corporation announced that it will recruit the 'ex-National Safety Participation Group' until the 11th of next month.
Now in its second year, the participation group directly takes part in inspecting or checking major civil disaster target facilities managed by the Expressway Corporation. The targets include bridges or tunnels over 20 meters, cut slopes, retaining walls, and more. They also act as safety partners by reporting various risk factors and other facility safety activities.

Anyone interested in highway safety activities can apply. A total of 250 people will be selected. After receiving preliminary training such as hands-on practice, participants will conduct regular inspections and reports of highway facilities from next month until December. Selected members will receive a commission certificate and an activity allowance of up to 100,000 KRW per month based on their participation performance. Twelve outstanding participants will be awarded prizes, including a grand prize of 1,000,000 KRW.
Applicants can download the application form from the corporation’s website and submit it via email. During last year’s pilot project, 50 citizens from general areas in the Seoul metropolitan area participated and identified 186 risk factors, which were subsequently improved.
