In his lecture, Yuval Harari will not only provide insightful directions on the historical, cultural, and humanistic values that humanity should pursue in the era of artificial intelligence, but also engage in an in-depth discussion on the values and roles of humans in the AI era, in connection with the APEC Summit's theme, 'Creating a Sustainable Tomorrow Together'.

This lecture, which drew high interest with all 1,500 seats sold out within three days of pre-registration, will be broadcast live on the official YouTube channels of the APEC Summit, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Plato Academy Foundation on the 20th.

Meanwhile, to promote the 2025 APEC Summit to be held in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province will host the International Gyeongju History and Culture Forum at the Gyeongju Arts Center in September. The forum aims to shed new light on the value of Gyeongju, Korea's historic and cultural city, and to discuss ways of connection, innovation, and prosperity for a sustainable world and the happiness of humanity from a humanistic and cultural perspective.

Additionally, following the APEC Summit, the 12th 21st Century Humanities Values Forum will be held at the Andong International Convention Center from November 6. Together with global humanities scholars and experts, the forum will seek universal values needed for a new era in the 21st century and strengthen the foundation of humanistic spiritual culture.

Lee Cheolwoo, Governor of North Gyeongsang Province, stated, "Just as Yuval Harari, a world-renowned scholar, raises questions about the development of artificial intelligence and human values, the 2025 APEC Summit, which has selected 'artificial intelligence and population' as its core outcomes, will play a pivotal role in Korea's future development." He added, "North Gyeongsang Province will fully demonstrate its historical, cultural, and humanistic capabilities in connection with the APEC Summit and thoroughly prepare so that this forum can grow into a world-class event on par with the Davos Forum."
