Free Training Program to Enhance Emergency Response Skills
Andong City Offers Complimentary CPR and First Aid Courses for Residents
Andong City in North Gyeongsang Province is offering free CPR and first aid training to strengthen citizens' emergency response capabilities in response to the increasing number of sudden cardiac arrest cases. Applications are open until April 10, and all Andong residents are eligible to participate.

The training will be held a total of 12 times from April 11 to May 2 at the Health Education Room on the 2nd floor of the Andong City Community Health Support Center.
The program consists of a Basic CPR Course for the general public (80 minutes) and an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Management Course for those responsible at AED-installed institutions (100 minutes).
The main topics and application methods include: ▲Basic CPR theory and practice ▲How to use an AED ▲Chest compression techniques ▲Emergency response for airway obstruction, and other practical first aid skills.
Applications can be submitted via the QR code provided in the information notice or by email.
Applications are also accepted in person at the Public Health Team of the Infectious Disease Response Division at Andong City Public Health Center or by mail.
An official from the Andong City Public Health Center stated, "Learning CPR and how to use an AED can help save precious lives in emergencies. We will continue to provide training so that citizens can acquire practical first aid skills."
