According to Ansan City on the 18th, the Central Gyeonggi Administrative Council, a gathering of mayors from seven cities in central Gyeonggi, decided at a regular meeting held that morning at Gwangmyeong City Hall to jointly propose regional issues including these policies. Established in 1981, the council is a policy consultation body consisting of seven cities: Ansan, Anyang, Siheung, Gwangmyeong, Gunpo, Uiwang, and Gwacheon.

The meeting, chaired by Lee Min-geun, mayor of Ansan and president of the council, was attended by the seven local government heads: Choi Dae-ho, mayor of Anyang; Lim Byung-taek, mayor of Siheung; Park Seung-won, mayor of Gwangmyeong; Ha Eun-ho, mayor of Gunpo; Kim Sung-je, mayor of Uiwang; and Shin Gye-yong, mayor of Gwacheon.

During the meeting, Lee Min-geun proposed a policy recommendation to relax green zone regulations within national industrial complexes. Park Seung-won suggested that the obligation for public housing developers to expand public facilities such as parking lots, welfare, cultural, and sports facilities should be further strengthened to ensure sufficient social overhead capital (SOC) for daily life.

The attendees also discussed expanding promotion and support for barrier-free (BF) kiosks, improving the calculation items for standard labor costs, revising the Gyeonggi Province Urban and Residential Environment Maintenance Ordinance, and measures such as temporary loan interest compensation and rapid disbursement of national and provincial funds to promote swift execution in the first half of the year. The mayors promised to jointly propose the six agenda items presented.

The meeting also reached a consensus on promoting major events and festivals held in each city this year. The seven local governments will host events such as the Ansan International Street Arts Festival (Ansan City), National Marine Sports Festival (Siheung City), Gunpo Azalea Festival (Gunpo City), Uiwang Children’s Railroad Festival (Uiwang City), and Gwacheon Jazz Picnic (Gwacheon City).

Lee Min-geun, mayor of Ansan, said, "The discussed agenda items are essential issues that must be addressed to solve the challenges faced by each city and achieve joint development. We will do our best to ensure that the proposals for regional development are effectively conveyed to Gyeonggi Province and the central government."
