The Jeonnam branch of NongHyup visited the quarantine site in Yeongam on the 17th to inspect the current situation of foot-and-mouth disease prevention and encourage the quarantine personnel working on site.

This visit was conducted as part of efforts to strengthen proactive quarantine measures following the spread of foot-and-mouth disease from Yeongam to Muan.

Jeonnam NongHyup is actively implementing quarantine measures in cooperation with local governments, including: ▲ emergency vaccination against foot-and-mouth disease ▲ temporary closure of 15 livestock markets in the province ▲ deployment of 9 joint quarantine teams, 28 leased disinfection vehicles, and 4 large-scale disinfection machines for proactive prevention ▲ emergency supply of disinfectants and materials such as 10 tons of quicklime and 80 liters of disinfectant (for about 700 farms) ▲ comprehensive disinfection of livestock-related vehicles and livestock farms.

Director Lee Gwangil said, "I express my gratitude to the quarantine personnel who are working tirelessly to prevent the spread of foot-and-mouth disease," and added, "NongHyup will make every effort to mobilize all available quarantine resources and cooperate closely with local governments to block the spread of foot-and-mouth disease through intensive disinfection."
