Promoting Elderly Human Rights
Through Education for Directors of Elderly Day and Night Care Facilities in Namyangju
The Gyeonggi Northern Elderly Protection Agency (Director Jang Dong-hyun) conducted elderly human rights education on the 18th for about 100 directors of elderly day and night care facilities within Namyangju City.

The elderly human rights education was conducted by the Gyeonggi Northern Elderly Protection Agency as an instructor, focusing on understanding elderly human rights and protecting elderly human rights. Through this, the participants learned the importance of preventing elder abuse and studied practical measures to protect elderly human rights based on cases of elderly human rights violations that may occur within facilities.
Jang Dong-hyun, Director of the Gyeonggi Northern Elderly Protection Agency, said, “I hope this education served as an opportunity to raise awareness of elderly human rights, and I hope that directors of elderly welfare facilities will make great efforts to protect elderly human rights.”
Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Northern Elderly Protection Agency is a public center in Gyeonggi Province, entrusted by Gyeonggi Social Service Institute and operated by Gyeonggi Province. It oversees the northern Gyeonggi region (Gapyeong-gun, Guri-si, Namyangju-si, Yangju-si, Uijeongbu-si, Pocheon-si, Hanam-si) and carries out various projects such as counseling, education, publicity, research, and building cooperative systems related to elder abuse.
