Promotional Activities for International Skating Rink Bid

Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 18th that on the 15th, together with the City Sports Council and the Disabled Sports Council, it conducted promotional activities at the Uijeongbu Ice Rink, where the World Women's Curling Championship opening ceremony was held, to support the bid for an international skating rink in Dongducheon.

This event was planned to showcase Dongducheon City's sports infrastructure and passion to the world through the World Women's Curling Championship held in Uijeongbu, amid various efforts by Dongducheon City to attract an international skating rink.
During the promotional activities, participants wore outfits emblazoned with slogans expressing hopes for attracting the international skating rink, and used various props such as flags and character dolls to capture the attention of the audience, receiving positive responses from domestic and international sports officials.
A Dongducheon City official stated, “Dongducheon has long been a city that has sacrificed for national security, and attracting an international skating rink will be an important stepping stone for the city's new leap forward.”
Meanwhile, Dongducheon City plans to continue various promotional activities to attract the international skating rink and will do its best to achieve a successful bid based on the interest and support of its citizens.
