On the 18th, Asan City in Chungnam announced that it will invest approximately 18.56 billion KRW to further improve the Sinjeongho Local Garden.

Kim Seonok, Director of the Environment and Greenery Bureau, explained this during a regular briefing held at the Asan City Hall briefing room, stating that the official opening of the local garden is scheduled for the 18th of next month.

The main improvements include: ▲Nightscape project (3 billion KRW) ▲Kids Garden and Sky Road construction project (15 billion KRW) ▲Development of experience programs (20 million KRW) ▲Garden enhancements (541.5 million KRW), among others.

Last year, the city was selected for the Chungnam Tourism Development Contest Project and will invest 1.5 billion KRW from the provincial government and 1.5 billion KRW from the city budget by September next year to install media art and themed sculpture lighting.

Additionally, a Kids Garden (8.65 billion KRW) will be created in the area of San 77, Bangchuk-dong, and a Sky Road (5.7 billion KRW) connecting it to the local garden will be constructed simultaneously.

The city also plans to operate a garden culture program (20 million KRW) for family visitors. The program will be held 22 times from the official opening next month until June, in collaboration with local children's education companies.

The garden enhancement project includes the creation of pocket gardens (100.7 million KRW), supplementary planting (330.8 million KRW), and the installation of shade structures and signboards (110 million KRW).

Kim Seonok stated, "In celebration of the 2025-2026 Visit Asan Year, we plan to widely promote the local garden as our city's representative landmark," adding, "We expect it to become the best leisure and healing space in the central region, greatly contributing to the revitalization of the tourism industry and the economy."
