Pocheon Woori Hospital Donates 5 Million Won to Residents Affected by Fighter Jet Friendly Fire Accident

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 18th that Ilsim Medical Foundation Pocheon Woori Hospital (Director Jang Jin) donated 5 million KRW to support residents affected by the Air Force fighter jet accidental bombing incident on the 17th.

Pocheon Woori Hospital, as a local medical institution, donated the funds with the hope of comforting the affected residents and providing a small help. The donation ceremony was attended by Geum Jandi, head nurse of Pocheon Woori Hospital, and 26 newly hired nurses.


After the donation ceremony, Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon City explained the current status and future vision of Pocheon City to the new nurses and held a Q&A session with them.


The new nurses said, "We felt sorrow seeing patients affected by the accidental bombing undergoing surgery and hospitalization treatment at our hospital. We joined this event with the hope for their speedy recovery and good health."


Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon City said, "I believe that the donation and warm sincerity delivered by Pocheon Woori Hospital will be a great support for the recovery of the affected residents," and added, "I expect the efforts and dedication of the new nurses to promote the health and well-being of Pocheon citizens and contribute to the improvement of local medical services."


He also added, "As a medical professional and a citizen of Pocheon, I hope you grow into young leaders who will lead Pocheon City."


Meanwhile, Ilsim Medical Foundation Pocheon Woori Hospital, which has steadily grown with the local community since its opening in 1999, is a general hospital with 24 medical departments and over 50 specialists.


It is designated as a regional emergency medical institution by the Pocheon Mayor and serves as the Dalbit Children's Hospital, contributing to emergency patient care in the area. Every year, it fulfills its role as a central medical institution by donating to neighbor-helping funds and carrying out various community contribution activities.
