J-Labs Co., Ltd., established in 2019, is a defense industry specialist company that develops and manufactures core communication modules and systems in the defense sector, such as frequency synthesizer modules and anti-jamming modules applied to missile and radar systems. The company has successfully conducted startup incubating through the Gumi City Startup Incubation Center.
Starting with winning the contract for the development project of the frequency synthesizer for the artillery interception system currently underway, J-Labs is actively participating in the export-type Cheongung-II project and the redevelopment project of Haegung, demonstrating a broad presence in the defense industry sector.
Through the opening of this new business site, J-Labs is expected to smoothly proceed with various mass production projects in the future, and if it successfully secures follow-up projects, it is anticipated to contribute to revitalizing the local economy.
Additionally, by integrating facilities that were previously dispersed across Gumi City, including the headquarters, factory, and environmental testing center, J-Labs aims to strengthen its competitiveness and is expected to establish itself as a hub for the regional defense industry.
Seok Jun-hak, CEO of J-Labs, stated, “From starting in a small office to achieving our current results, it was the relentless effort and dedication of all employees that made this possible,” and promised, “We will effectively respond to the continuously increasing customer demand and provide products of even higher quality.”
CEO Seok added, “We will continue to grow as a company that fulfills its social responsibilities while coexisting with partners and the local community.”
Furthermore, Song Seung-hoon, CEO of J-Labs, said, “The factory established today in Gumi City is not the end but a new beginning,” and predicted, “We will pursue aggressive contract acquisitions in the defense industry market going forward.”
Kim Jang-ho, Mayor of Gumi City, expressed, “I hope the company grows into a defense company with global competitiveness through continuous investment and research and development, and Gumi City will actively support the mutual development with the defense industry.”
