This project is a collaborative initiative where Shinhan Financial supports the 'Local Branding Activation Support Project by Living Area' led by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to revitalize the local economy.

Since last year, Shinhan Financial has been supporting small business owners and self-employed individuals by alleviating energy cost burdens and improving heating and cooling efficiency through the replacement of outdated equipment, using a fund of 2 billion KRW raised through the 'Shinhan Save' program involving group employees. Last year, it supported over 160 specialized projects in 10 living areas including Yaksa Stream in Chuncheon and Gwana Gol in Chungju. Additionally, it helped install high-efficiency heating and cooling devices in small business sites and community facilities, reducing annual energy costs by 700 million KRW.

This year, the project plans to support local residents, small business owners, organizations, and companies in 10 newly selected living areas, including Abai Village in Sokcho City.

A Shinhan Financial Group official stated, "Shinhan Financial will continue to work with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety through various collaborations to revitalize the local economy and strive for the sustainable development of local communities."
