Through this project, hired workers with disabilities will perform tasks such as cleaning, weeding, library assistance, document organization, and facility management support, taking into account the characteristics of each institution and the type of disability.

In particular, for institutions and schools that have not yet employed persons with disabilities, recruitment will be supported by utilizing the talent pool of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. Depending on budget operations, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to survey institutions wishing to hire additional workers in the second half of the year and provide wage support, thereby continuously promoting the expansion of job opportunities for people with disabilities.

Jung Jonghee, Director of the School Support Division at the Gyeongbuk Office of Education, said, "We will do our best to operate the Hope Jobs Project effectively to support stable employment for workers with disabilities and to create a more inclusive society."
