Youth Leap Account, 150,000 Applications in 2 Weeks of March, 88,000 Subscriptions

As a result of the application period for the Youth Leap Account operated by the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency from March 4 to 14, 150,000 people applied for enrollment. Since the launch of the Youth Leap Account in June 2023, the cumulative number of applicants has reached 3,051,000. This is approximately 2.5 times the previous quarter's monthly average of 61,000 applicants.


During the same period, about 89,000 people opened accounts, bringing the total number of accounts opened to 1,823,000.


Applicants who applied in March can open accounts after going through the eligibility verification process. Single-person households notified as eligible can open accounts from the 20th to the 11th of the following month, and households with two or more members can open accounts from the 31st to the 11th of the following month (only on business days).


The Youth Leap Account accepts applications through the mobile applications of participating banks (Kookmin, Shinhan, Hana, Woori, Nonghyup, IBK, Busan, iM Bank, Gwangju, Jeonbuk, Gyeongnam) every month, and accounts can be opened after completing the eligibility verification process.
