Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) will conduct a public inspection announcement for the 'Gangbyeon Gangseo Apartment Public Reconstruction Maintenance Project Maintenance Area and Maintenance Plan Change (Draft)' from the 14th of this month to the 14th of next month.

This public inspection is a follow-up procedure to reflect the maintenance plan (draft) proposed by residents after the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport selected the site as a leading candidate for public reconstruction in 2021 and to collect residents' opinions.

The public inspection can be viewed at the Housing Division on the 7th floor of Yongsan-gu Office and at the Gangbyeon Gangseo Apartment Public Reconstruction Maintenance Project Association. Residents can submit their opinions by visiting the Housing Division during the inspection period or by registered mail.

Since the joint implementation resident agreement was signed between Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH) and the association in March 2022, preliminary planning for public reconstruction, working group meetings of the preliminary planning advisory group, resident meetings related to preliminary planning, and joint reports to the Seoul Metropolitan Government have been conducted as part of the preliminary advisory process for project promotion. The district has continuously strived to ensure that the public reconstruction balances public interest and project feasibility.

The Gangbyeon Gangseo Apartment is planned to be developed as an apartment complex with up to 33 floors and 204 households on the site at 193-3, Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu (4,402.1㎡), offering a direct view of the Han River. In particular, to create a vibrant complex, street activation sections will be arranged, and pedestrian spaces harmonizing with the road will be created by utilizing the front open space.

To collect opinions, the district will hold a residents' briefing session at 4 p.m. on the 24th at the Dream Room Theater on the 4th floor of the Yongsan Youth Center. After the public inspection announcement and hearing opinions from the district council, the plan will be submitted to the Seoul Metropolitan Government for approval.

District Mayor Park Hee-young stated, “We will actively reflect opinions through this residents' public inspection and do our best to ensure the smooth promotion of the project,” adding, “We will spare no administrative support to create a pleasant and livable residential environment.”
